April 21

Wildflower Pilgrimage and Greener Living Expo - Gatlinburg's most popular Springtime event. A full week of nature exhibits, guest lectures, interactivity and so much more than you can believe you can do. www.springwildflowerpilgrimage.org

Ribfest and Wings - The city of Gatlinburg shuts down the main road through the center of downtown to host sampling tents, live music, children's entertainment, and, of course, hot sauces. www.gatlinburg.com, 865-436-4178.

May 14-16

Gatlinburg Scottish Festival and Games - Gatlinburg's long-standing Scottish Heritage is honored once again at Mill's Park near Gatlinburg Pittman High School. Music, dance, clothing and competitions are all expected. www.gsfg.org

Family Fest in The Smokies - A three-day musical celebration featuring Down home Horns, Jeff and Sheri Easter, Gaither Vocal Band, Karen Peck and New River, Ravi Zacharias and many more! www.gaither.com

Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales - Gatlinburg brings mountain culture and atmosphere to the city as local musicians and performers perform throughout the downtown area, telling stories, playing bluegrass and the old music of the Appalachians. 800-568-4748

Midnight Parade/River Regatta/Fireworks Display - A busy day for the city of Gatlinburg; starting with the country's earliest Fourth of July Parade at Midnight, 5 minutes after 11:55 P.M. on July 3rd, followed by the popular River Raft Regatta river race, and then the Fireworks show as soon as the sun sets.

13th Annual Taste of Autumn - The Taste of Autumn is an event showcasing the best food and Live Entertainment in the area to benefit the United Way.  $25 Donation. Gatlinburg Convention Center.

Veteran's Day Celebration - Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is the stage for a series of tributes to America's Veterans; current and former. All Branches will be recognized. 11:00 a.m.

November 23-27

Festival of Trees - Dozens and dozens of trees of all sizes and shapes line the rows at the W.L. Mills. It's an extremely popular, festive and colorful occasion that benefit the Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries. www.smarm.org
